There are lots of ways you can help support and shape Waterford as a Lifelong Learning City.
Remember, lifelong learning can take many forms — from the classroom and workplace to courses, hobbies, community activities, volunteering, or simply exploring something new for personal interest.
Even if I you have something in mind and wonder, “Is this lifelong learning?” we’d love to hear from you!
Are you part of an organization or group involved, or interested in, lifelong learning? Join our Community of Action.
Together, we:
- Share knowledge and updates
- Offer feedback and help shape the direction of Waterford as a Learning City
- Explore ways to work together to progress further lifelong learning opportunities
Are you a Waterford resident who’s passionate about Waterford and its future? We want to hear your ideas!
You can:
- Offer feedback or suggestions
- Take part in conversations
Attend occasional meetings
Are you a lifelong learner? Do you know someone that is a lifelong learner?
Become an ambassador and help:
- Promote learning opportunities in your community
- Inspire others to get involved
Represent lifelong learning in Waterford
Each year, we will host a Lifelong Learning Festival — a celebration of different forms of learning across Waterford City. (Taking place April 2026 dates TBC)
You can take part by:
- Hosting a workshop, event, or activity
- Showcasing your organization’s work
Volunteering to support the festival
